I met Suzanne and Pam in Vancouver, Canada in 1999. It had been almost eight years since we last got together.
Suzanne picks me up at the airport in Schiphol and we drive to Rotterdam. It was so great to catch up. So many stories. So many things different, so many things the same.
Pam meets us for dinner out and we laugh and tell stories and just catch up.
The next day we make a trip to Pam's family's bakery that she lived above her entire life until only a few years ago. I always thought it would be a nice to make a little film about the Baker's Daughter. (Screenplay to follow). I really enjoyed seeing Pam with her Dad in a place I had heard such vibrant stories about years before.
Pam and I take the rest of the day and walk around Rotterdam. It's full of great architecture that really complements the city well.
Finally we make a repeat of dinner we had in my apartment in Vancouver eight years prior and find a picture of us that night in both Suzanne's and Pam's albums. We make curry and I can't believe that 11pm looks like 2pm due to the sunlight. I had a great trip.
