We begin in the surprisingly bustling city of Quito, just below the Equator. Then a few pictures capture the market town of Otavalo. Then we disappear to the Galapagos for a week (see the Galapagos gallery) and find ourselves in the market town of Saquisili. Here we have vegetables thrown at us for taking pictures of timid people (no action shots). Next we find ourselves on the train-that-is-actually-a-bus from Riobamba to Alausi via the "Nose of the Devil" zigzag train tracks on a vertical cliff. Finally, a few pictures of Cuenca close out the country before a horrible border crossing with Peru (not shown!).
