We spent one day in Chile. There, I said it, just one day. But it was an amazing day. We are headed across the Andes today from San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, to Salta, Argentina. Although we are literally in the driest place on Earth, it snowed the night before our crossing of the mountains. We have arranged a van to take us to the border with Argentina where another van will be waiting for us to take us the rest of the way. The views are absolutely amazing, and the contrast of white snow, brown mountains, and blue sky are truly breathtaking.
